After five days of rain-outs, rain-shortened games, and rain delays, the tournament was finished on Tuesday night. It was a great single-elimination tournament (rain shortened it from double elimination) with great competition among all the teams: Canton City - 2 teams, Fairless - 2 teams, Greentown - 4 teams, Jackson - 3 teams, Massillon - 2 teams, North Canton - 2 teams.
Coach Bruce Geiser's team, the Jackson Lightning, won over the Massillon Team #2 in a very exciting game that was filled with great competition, respect and above all great sportsmanship between the teams, coaches and fans. It was truly an example of what everyone would hope an 8U league (or any league for that matter) would be like. CONGRATULATIONS TEAM!

The Jackson Jags 12U Team (coached by Mark Paulus) won both the league and the tournament in Alliance by going undefeated for both. The girls worked extremely hard all year and played with heart, honor and excellent sportsmanship. The final day of the tournament they won over Strasburg twice to win the tournament championship. CONGRATULATIONS TEAM!
